St.Pr./El.St. Journesse

Journesse' sire Zeus was a very well-known jumper-maker in his day. Even today his offspring are still out there competing, for example Zetor/Thomas Kleis who took second place in the German Derby or the Nations Cup winner Zseni/Jürgen Maier. Among his more than 20 licensed sons are two full brothers bred at Gestüt Wendeln, Zymbal I and II, the first of which was the 2nd Reserve Champion at the 1984 licensing, Main Premium winner in 1986 and Bundeschampionat participant three times. Zymbal II competed in international show jumping competitions. 

Her dam St.Pr./El.St. Juliane III also gave birth to Journesse' full sister Juwele who is also a Premium mare. Juwele was bred to Ramino which resulted in the advanced (S) level show jumper, Razzo.

The dam's sire, the Thoroughbred Bucephalos xx, was a successful race horse and with a GAG of 80.5 kilos (German time form) he was approved for Warmblood breeding. This bay stallion sired six State Premium mares and a great number of sport horses such as the advanced (S) level jumpers Mr. Ben, Borislav, Bel Ami, Baccara, Boris but also two dressage horses that competed in advanced (S) level classes, Bonnami and Butchino.
