Paul Wendeln:
"It was very clear to us right from the beginning that we could not keep the stallions we bred. And so Zymbal I was sold at the licensing. We always tried to find good stations for our stallions. Zymbal I inherited a lot from his dam Cinderella. It was phenomenal how he could present himself – even as a foal. We were offered a lot of money for him but we wanted to at least raise him ourselves. We were unbelievably excited at the licensing in Oldenburg – this was the first time that we had a stallion up for licensing. We hoped, of course, that he would be among the top third. So we were totally overwhelmed when he took the 2nd Reserve Champion title."
